Our Top 5 Stoner Movies
We are coming up on Memorial Day weekend, and this means a great time to sit back and relax. Now with us, we always have this tradition of watching these great stoner comedies during this weekend, because you know, they won’t remember, memorial, get it? Anyway, here are our top 5 stoner movies and the frequent fliers for our smokey weekend!
Pineapple Express – This is the movie that made me love James Franco, shortly before he made me hate him in the next movie he was in. This is a party pleaser that you can tune in and out of in case you’re making food or need to use the rest room.
Dude, Where’s my Car – There is a lot of debate as to whether or not this is a stoner comedy, but it has all the elements of one. Profoundly stupid protagonists and crazy plots make this a classic.
Inherent Vice – This is the only one on the list that isn’t a comedy, and it still has funny moments. Imagine watching Chinatown, but everyone was high. That’s why this movie is fun, but man does it take a lot of focus.
Cheech and Chong – many people would call this the seminal comedy, but it also happens to be filled with countless great moments like rolling the magazine and trying to smoke it.
Big Lebowski – My personal favorite is the Big Lebowski. The ultimate quotable film with just a ridiculous character in Jeff Daniels performance. If you haven’t seen this, treat yourself.
